A Terrace on Rome

The three terraces of Relais Arco della Pace are open 24 hours a day to all of our guests, to freely enjoy one of the most beautiful views in the world.

ON our three terraces, surrounded by the typical red tiles roofs of the oldest houses in the center of Rome and by the bell towers of its baroque churches, a 360° gaze is offered to reveal the eyes the unmistakable shapes of some of the most extraordinary architectures worldwide. In fresh morning air, or in the golden sunset light, for a snack or a small romantic dinner, the terraces are furnished to enjoy precious moments of relaxation surrounded by the beauty of the city.

In the first terrace there are sun loungers to sunbathe during summer; in the second one, a comfortable circular sofa in masonry with cushions and an umbrella are the elements for the perfect stop after exploring the city. In the third terrace, the highest of all, a large table and chairs allow you to organize a lunch, a snack or dinner: you can request the dishes and everything you need to our staff. Or maybe, why not? Request a catering service to organize a dinner or a small event with a view of Rome’s rooftops of: our staff will be happy to help you organize!

“And domes that lie curved against the sky, in every direction, at every distance, as if to confirm the feminine, Junonic essence of the city... from up here, you have the impression that this is the real crust of the earth”. Palomar, Italo Calvino

They stand out on the skyline to give the very Roman excitement of suspension in time: the domes of Rome’s churches are the essence of eternal beauty. You can play to spot them all: the close one of Santa Maria della Pace, the one just off, of San Carlo al Corso, the "extravagant" one of Sant'Ivo alla Sapienza and the two "twin" ones of Santa Maria del Popolo and Santa Maria in Montesanto. And then, the most majestic and magnificent dome, the symbol of Rome and of Christianity in the world, the St. Peter’s dome.

The wonder of Rome can be caught from our terraces in a thousand games of enchantment and wonder, come and find them all!
